Human/Mouse Fc Block
Human Fc Block
o Principle & benefit: Fcγ receptors (CD16/CD32/CD64) on human immune cells can bind
antibody Fc regions and generate Fc-mediated non-specific staining in flow cytometry and
sorting. Syd Labs anti-CD16 (3G8), anti-CD32 (IV.3) and anti-CD64 (H22) competitively
occupy FcγRs, reducing Fc-dependent background.
o Recommended for: Flow cytometry/Cell sorting; FcR-high samples; FcR populations such
as monocytes, granulocytes, B cells and dendritic cells; Improving specificity of antibody or
bead labeling and purity of target cells.
Mouse Fc Block
o Principle & benefit: Mouse FcγR II/III (CD32/CD16) are broadly expressed on immune cells
and often drive Fc-mediated non-specific binding. The classic clone 2.4G2 binds the
common epitope of CD16/CD32, blocking unwanted Ig‒FcR interactions to deliver lower
background.
o Recommended for: Flow cytometry/Cell sorting; FcR-high samples; FcR populations such
as B cells, monocytes/macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, mast cells, and
dendritic cells; Improving specificity of antibody or bead labeling and purity of target cells.
